 VERRRRRRRRRRRRRY INTERESTING: China's influence over Western politicians runs deeper than controversial claims made by the head of Canada's spy agency, Tory MP Rob Anders is alleging.
In a recent interview with Epoch Times, a newspaper founded by Falun Gong supporters, Anders suggested politicians and government officials from Canada and other countries are being wooed with extravagant gifts, beautiful young women and too-good-to-be-true business deals.

Bouncing back from two losses, the London Majors pound the Kitchener Panthers 14-1 to lead series 3-2

IN KITCHENER, Andy St. Gelais pitched a complete-game five-hitter, leading the London Majors to a 14-1 rout of the Kitchener Panthers.
London now leads the best-of-seven series 3-2, bouncing back after two losses in a row. The Majors can wrap up the series with a win in Game 6 Friday night at historic Labatt Park in London.
Cleveland Brownlee, Mitch Delaney, Ryan Lapensee, and Ryan Cattrysse all homered in the Majors blow-out win. Brownlee finished with two additional singles, three runs scored and three RBI, while Delaney had an extra single, run scored and four RBI.
Cattrysse also singled, scored and had three RBIs on the night, while adding a single and scored twice. Chris Chambers and Will Watkins had one and three singles, respectively, with one RBI each.
Jeff Pietraszko homered and notched the lone RBI for the Panthers, while Luke Baker doubled.
St. Gelais allowed just five hits and one earned run with two walks and seven strikeouts.
Brandon Farquhar was the losing pitcher, giving up nine hits and eight runs – all earned – with one walk and one strikeout over just 3 1/3 innings.

Brantford Red Sox 7, Hamilton Thunderbirds 1
The Brantford Red Sox pounded out 12 hits and Scott Robinson pitched eight dominant innings as the Sox routed the Hamilton Thunderbirds 7-1 in one of three playoff games played in the Intercounty Baseball League on Thursday night.
The two-time defending IBL champions and 2010 pennant winners have now out-scored Hamilton 31-5 in the first three games of the best-of-seven opening round series and can wrap up the series with a win at home Friday night in Game 4.
Robinson scattered six hits and allowed one run with five strikeouts and no walks. Mark James pitched the ninth to complete the seven-hitter.
Brantford jumped in front quickly, scoring two runs in the first and three more in the second inning en route to another easy win. Chris Emanuele led the attack with four hits, scoring twice and also driving in two runs, while Josh McCurdy had three hits, including a homer, scored three times and also had three RBI.
Hyung Cho also had three hits for the Sox, as the top three hitters in their lineup went 10-for-14.
Hamilton loser Matt Martinow went 8 1/3 innings and took the loss. He allowed seven runs – six earned - on 12 hits with one strikeout and two walks and was hurt by four Hamilton errors. Darnell Duckett, Chris Piano and Jordan Windisch all had two hits for the losers.

Barrie Baycats 10, Mississauga Twins 2
In Mississauga, the Barrie Baycats made the best of 14 hits to earn a 10-2 victory over the Twins and take a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Ryan Spataro had four hits, one run scored, and two RBI in the win, while Jordan Lundberg and Sean Mattson each homered, scored once, and drove in two runs with Mattson adding an additional single.
Stevie Lewis pitched in with two singles, one run scored, and one RBI, while Matt Logan had two singles and two runs scored. Glenn Jackson singled, scored and drove in one, with Ryan Davis and Dave Latour both singling, and Davis scoring a run.
Branson Joseph and Ian Choy were the lone multi-hitters for Mississauga . Joseph notched three singles while Choy had two of his own. Jeff MacLeod singled and added an RBI, while Brendan Emmett singled and scored a run in the loss.
Adam Hawes was the winner, allowing only four hits and one unearned run with one walk and five strikeouts over seven innings.
Shane Cole was the loser, giving up eight hits and six runs – all earned – with one walk and two strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings.
The Baycats now hold a commanding 3-0 lead in the opening round series, which continues Saturday night in Mississauga. Barrie has out-scored Mississauga 27-5 so far in the series.
